After a near death experience several years ago, I seem to have experienced an altered state of creative consciousness. When a friend from Germany sent me a photo of her standing in a field I was suddenly filled with a desire to paint it. I'd never painted anything in my life (that I can remember) but something woke up inside me that keeps me painting now every day. See the photo and the painting below.
I paint landscapes, abstract paintings and collages on paper and canvas. But above all I explore colors, shapes, and forms and how they stimulate our imagination.
I used to paint mostly from photographs, but over time I've moved more to intuitive paintings.
Thank you for visiting my studio. If you'd like to find out more about my art, or about any particular painting, or if you just want to share your own artistic endeavors, please contact me.

"Pushing Through the Wall to my Art" will have a wonderful home with Cornelia. The painting spoke to Cornelia when she was visiting Epulo Bistro in May.
Cedene saw this painting, "Kafka and Ottla in Prague", at the Epulo Wall one evening when she and her husband were having dinner at Epulo Bistro. I met her and her husband so she could take it home. And I got to spend a lovely time at the Edmonds' Saturday Market after we met.
But, wait. There's more. Just as I was pulling out the painting I brought to replace the one they just bought, Cedene instantly wanted to buy "Me and Mini Me" as well. So one empty spot left to fill on the wall for the next Edmond's Art Walk.
Hania, my Polish sister-in-law, finds a painting i did of her brother, and several other pieces to take home with her to Gdansk.
At Edmonds May Art Walk, Sarah is moved by "Toward the Sun" which evoked memories of her work with refugees and victims of war.
Friend, Stacy, took this small floral mixed media on watercolor paper.
